11:54 am	you know life is really funny I was just thinking about how war sucks and how video oriented it has become. It also occured to me to ask Acid-chan her opinion about the war. I was a senior in Highschool when the last war in Irag was going on. She's a senior in HS when this war is going on. I wonder how similiar/different our experiences are. 12:10 pm	friday 5 1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not? Most of the time, but I usually don't make a call without a reason. If the converstaion lasts for more than 30 minutes I have to go!!! That is TOO long. 2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone? Left a voice message for one of my STUPID techs 3. About how many telephones do you have at home? we have 3 but only 1 is currently plugged in. 4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened? Yes, my own mother of all people!! She'll call my house, ask if I'm there. IF I'm not hime she says okay and hangs up. No message, no thank you, no nada. :-P If you've read my journal my parents have issues as far as manners go. 5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not? E-mail is faster most of the time, cause i actually hate leaving voice mail. (Comment on this)

12:55 pm	Today! I hate meetings!!!!! I had 2 conference calls and one review of services meeting. BLUCK!!! They sucked, especially the conference calls. How many times do you need to go over an issue without resolution before it just becomes a serious problem? ACK!! Oh and the services review - it just became a big bitch session about how we use the tools we have available instead of what the tools are. Which is what the meeting was supposed to be about! I want to know how everything here works........ARGH!!!! (Comment on this)

At my parents house I have a ton of stuff that haven't seen or used or wanted in years. I guess I need to clean that stuff up. 3. Are you a packrat? yes, but in a weird way, I don't keep everything, just alot of stuff that I want for another day. 4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum? clutter is very necessary, I feel kinda weird if my house is too clean. It's mostly just crap and trash scattered around. 5. After much worrying on my part about her rapid decent in size, she assures me that the weightloss is from excercise and diet - not starvation. 12:57 pm	It's Friday Since I totally dig the Friday Fives that sweet pickles and funny looking kid have been doing - I decided to try it too. 1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not? Nutragrain raspberry cereal bar 2. What's your favorite cereal? Lucky charms and cheerios 3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change? almost every night - we get take out and eat at home. Absolutely not - the only things I know how to cook take FOREVER and I'm not spending 4 hours in the kitchen for dinner. 4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that? no plans - we'll see what both Lee and I feel like later. 5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why? Mezaluna in Austin - they have the best italian in austin and they have really good atmosphere. But I haven't been there in years. 12:28 pm	I want a new puppy Night before last Lee and I went to the house of the people he works for and had dinner. We specifically went to meet their new dog. He was the cutest German Shepard I have seen - other than mine, of course. He has standard markings and the kind of ears that point inward and make his head look like a triangle. One of those giant ears is still not standing up all straight yet. I've obviously gotten over Faust eating my shoes, pooing all over the floor, and how hyper GS puppies are. I played with the dog for about 3 hours straight. I WANT A PUPPY!!! I feel like Dot in Raising Arizona (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0093822) cooing over H.I. Jr. They are just so cuddly and cute - not that I love my dog any less now that he's grown, I just want a little one again. It's sad. I've picked out a name. 12:41 pm	Student loans need to be repaid...... TGSLC just told me that they are seizing my tax return. The only way that I can set things straight and get out of default is to give them a $900 deposit and then make consistent payments of $100 bucks a month. Well, if I had $900 I would not give it to them as a deposit. I suppose it's a gesture of good faith but I don't have it. Guess I shouldn't have told her I didn't care what my credit looked like. oops! AND the stupid woman who called hung up on me, I wasn't being especially nice, but you'd think they would have trained their collection callers to deal with that alittle better. (Comment on this)

12:32 pm	New Job is Good I'm lunching and thought I'd pop in and type a few words. This new job is going really well. I like it alot, but it's taken me a few days to get re-adjusted to tech speak. I was stuck in the ghetto of Austin Gastro for SO LONG that the speech pattern rubbed off on me and now I have to make it go away again. I'm scheduling computer installations for all these sites in the southeast region of the country. My horrible southern accent has reared it's ugly head and I sound like the biggest southern bell since I started making calls. It could be worse - I don't have alot of people from New York to deal with so that I don't have to deal with that big time attitude. I LOVE MY NEW JOB!!!! there are still some dot com hold overs in the company like, massages on Fridays and a weight room, I don't have people looking over my shoulder when I'm IM'ing, and people who are nice!!!! -shiko (Comment on this)
